Improper input validation in SideQuest before 0.10.35 allows remote attackers to execute code through a malicious sidequest:// link. The Electron desktop application's custom-protocol handler accepts and dispatches deep-link URLs without consistently parsing and sanitizing their action data. Exploitation requires a connected Quest device and a user click inside the application, after which attacker-supplied actions execute with the application's privileges.
