Arbitrary file write via unsafe tar extraction

Path traversal in Spotify Luigi before 3.6.0 allows remote attackers to write files outside a work directory via crafted tar archives. The LSF and SGE runner extraction functions pass each package-tar member to tarfile.extract without verifying that its resolved path remains under work_dir. Exploitation requires a Luigi workflow to process an attacker-controlled packages archive, and files are written with the compute-node process's permissions.
