CVE-2024-21512Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Prototype pollution via unsafe nested table keys

Published May 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Prototype pollution in Sidorares MySQL2 before 3.9.8 allows remote attackers to alter object prototypes through crafted result metadata. The text and binary row parsers used unvalidated table names and concatenated nestTables keys when assigning properties on result objects. Exploitation requires nestTables and attacker control over returned table or field names; polluted properties can alter application data or interrupt service.
