CVE-2024-21507Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Cache poisoning via ambiguous parser key serialization

Published Apr 10, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024

Cache poisoning in Sidorares MySQL2 before 3.9.3 allows remote attackers to corrupt parsed query results via crafted field metadata. The keyFromFields function concatenates field properties with slash and colon delimiters, allowing embedded colons to make distinct result schemas share a parser-cache key. Exploitation requires an application to process attacker-controlled queries or database metadata, after which a cached parser can omit or misassign fields in later results.
