Authenticated code execution via unchecked image upload
Published Mar 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 8, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in SourceCodester Online Mobile Store Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute server code. Users.php accepts the img field's original filename and moves the temporary upload into the web-accessible uploads directory without checking its type or extension. A valid session is required; a double-extension PHP payload can then run commands with the web server's privileges.
