CVE-2024-21472

Kernel compromise via GPU use-after-free

Published Apr 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 12, 2024

Use-after-free in Qualcomm Snapdragon firmware allows local users to corrupt kernel memory while performing GPU operations. Qualcomm has not published the kernel function, lifetime error, or GPU request that leaves the freed object reachable. Local access with no prior privileges is required; successful exploitation compromises kernel confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
