Memory disclosure via beacon frame buffer over-read
Published Aug 5, 2024 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Buffer over-read in Qualcomm Snapdragon WLAN firmware allows remote attackers to disclose memory through crafted beacon or probe frames. During client-side scan entry generation, the WLAN host communication path reads beyond the received frame buffer while handling beacon or probe data. No privileges or user interaction are required; adjacent memory can be exposed, and Qualcomm records an availability impact without describing its failure mode.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
