CVE-2024-21464

Memory corruption via unchecked IPA statistics copy

Published Jan 6, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Buffer overflow in Qualcomm Snapdragon IPA statistics processing allows local users to corrupt memory when no clients are active. The statistics path copies an input buffer without checking its size while processing an empty active-client set. Local access is required, but Qualcomm assigns no privileges or user interaction; the disclosed consequence is limited to memory corruption.
