Remote code execution via undisclosed integer overflow
Published Mar 12, 2024 · Updated May 3, 2025
Integer overflow in Microsoft's WDAC OLE DB provider for SQL Server on affected Windows releases allows remote attackers to execute code. Microsoft has not disclosed the arithmetic operation, input field, or memory-corruption path within the provider. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to connect through OLE DB to a malicious SQL server, which then sends a crafted network packet that executes code on the Windows host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
