Remote code execution via missing Today tab isolation
Published Mar 12, 2024 · Updated May 3, 2025
Remote code execution in Microsoft Skype for Consumer before 8.113 allows remote attackers to execute code after user interaction. The Today tab lacks context isolation, allowing attacker-controlled page or file content to execute in the Skype process. The target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file; successful exploitation grants code execution with the user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
