Improper authentication in Microsoft Authenticator before 6.2401.0617 allows local users to access MFA codes and alter stored accounts. Microsoft has not disclosed the affected authentication locus or the operation that improperly authorizes access to Authenticator data. Exploitation requires access to the victim's local device and the victim to close and reopen the app; it exposes MFA codes and permits stored accounts to be modified or deleted.
