CVE-2024-21381Network attack vector

Authenticated malicious-link redirection through request race

Published Feb 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Cross-site request forgery in Microsoft Entra allows remote authenticated users to redirect a vulnerable link to a malicious site. Microsoft discloses that exploitation requires winning a race condition, but it does not identify the request handler or missing validation that permits the link change. Low-privileged access is required, and the disclosed consequence is redirection rather than service interruption.
