Improper access control in Microsoft Azure Site Recovery before 9.57 allows local users to elevate privileges on a targeted system or database. The Configuration Server permits locally executed code to assume IUSR and discover the MySQL root password and other stored encrypted credentials. Local access to an ASR machine is required, and gained root privileges are limited to the targeted system or database.
