CVE-2024-21353Network attack vector

Remote code execution via ODBC heap overflow

Published Feb 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft WDAC ODBC Driver on Windows Server 23H2 before 10.0.25398.709 allows remote attackers to execute code. Crafted database-server packets overwrite heap memory in the driver, but Microsoft has not identified the affected function or failed bounds operation. Exploitation requires a user to connect the ODBC client to an attacker-controlled database, after which code executes in the client process context.
