Heap-based buffer overflow in the Windows Kernel before build 10.0.25398.709 allows local users to elevate privileges. NtQueryInformationThread reads mutable Thread Environment Block data twice, allowing a change between validation and use to produce an arbitrary kernel-memory write. Exploitation requires low-privileged local code execution and no user interaction; the resulting write can yield full system control.
