Local code execution via untrusted search path
Published Jan 9, 2024 · Updated Jun 17, 2025
Untrusted search path handling in Microsoft Printer Metadata Troubleshooter Tool before 1.0.0.1 allows local users to execute code. Microsoft identifies an attacker-controlled search path but does not disclose the resource name, lookup function, or searched location.
