Arbitrary file upload via missing CSRF nonce
Published Apr 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in the EnvíaloSimple WordPress plugin 2.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to upload arbitrary files. The gallery_add function processes an upload request without correctly validating a WordPress nonce, allowing a forged request to reach the file-upload path. Exploitation requires a site administrator to perform an attacker-induced action; an uploaded malicious file can compromise the WordPress site's confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
