Data access and service interruption via undisclosed flaw
Published Oct 15, 2024 · Updated Mar 13, 2025
Improper access control in Oracle VM VirtualBox Core before 7.0.22 and before 7.1.2 allows local users to read or alter data and interrupt service. Oracle has not published the affected Core code path or the improper operation that accepts attacker-controlled input. Exploitation requires low-privileged local logon and high complexity; successful attacks can cross a security scope, affect only some accessible data, and cause a partial service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
