Authenticated denial of service via undisclosed InnoDB flaw
Published Oct 15, 2024 · Updated Mar 13, 2025
Denial of service in MySQL Server 8.0.38 and earlier, 8.4.1 and earlier, and 9.0.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to crash it. Oracle identifies InnoDB as the affected component but has not published the flawed operation or the input that triggers resource consumption. Exploitation requires a high-privileged account with network access and can repeatedly hang or crash the database service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
