Authenticated hang or crash via undisclosed flaw
Published Jul 16, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Denial of service in Oracle MySQL Server and MySQL NDB Cluster allows remote authenticated users to hang or repeatedly crash them. Oracle locates the Server flaw in the optimizer and the Cluster flaw in its general component, but has not published the input or wrong operation that exhausts resources. Low-privileged network access is required; affected releases include Server 8.0.37 and 8.4.0 and earlier and Cluster 7.5.34, 7.6.30, 8.0.37, and 8.4.0 and earlier.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
