Stored script execution via unescaped widget attributes
Published Apr 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Elementor Website Builder 3.20.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the Text Path widget. The widget renders user-supplied attributes into page output without sufficient escaping, preserving script-bearing markup for later visitors. Contributor-level access is sufficient to store a payload, and the script runs in the browser of any user who opens the affected page.
