Denial of service in Oracle MySQL Server 8.0.37 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to hang or repeatedly crash the server. Oracle identifies the affected locus only as Server: Pluggable Auth and has not disclosed the incorrect operation on untrusted protocol input. Exploitation requires a highly privileged account with network access through the MySQL protocol, and the reported consequence is service interruption without data disclosure or modification.
