Unauthenticated data read and modification via 2D APIs
Published Jul 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2025
Improper access control in the 2D component of Oracle Java SE allows remote attackers to read and alter a subset of accessible data. Oracle has not published the affected function or the operation that mishandles untrusted input within the 2D implementation. Reachability requires network-supplied data to 2D APIs, such as through a web service, or untrusted code running under the Java sandbox.
