Buffer overflow in VirtIOCore in Oracle VM VirtualBox before 7.0.16 allows local users to execute code in the hypervisor. VirtIOCore copies user-supplied data into a buffer without first validating its length, permitting an out-of-bounds write. Exploitation requires high-privileged code execution in a guest and results in host-side hypervisor takeover with confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact.
