Privileged remote server hang or crash
Published Apr 16, 2024 · Updated Mar 13, 2025
Denial of service in Oracle MySQL Server 8.0.36 and earlier and 8.3.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to hang or crash the server. Oracle identifies the Group Replication Plugin as the affected component but has not published the triggering operation, input, or code path. Exploitation requires network access through the MySQL protocol and a highly privileged account; the result is limited to repeatable hangs or crashes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
