CVE-2024-21068Network attack vector

Unauthorized modification of accessible data

Published Apr 16, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

HotSpot vulnerability in affected Oracle Java SE and GraalVM releases allows remote attackers to modify accessible data through multiple protocols. Oracle has not published the faulty HotSpot operation or how untrusted input reaches it beyond stating that component APIs can receive data through a web service. Exploitation is unauthenticated but requires high complexity; sandboxed clients running untrusted code are also exposed, and the documented consequence is limited to unauthorized data changes.
