Unauthenticated device control via BLE GATT commands
Published Dec 10, 2025 · Updated Dec 10, 2025
Missing authentication in the GATT server of JBL Live Pro 2 TWS and Tune Flex allows physically proximate attackers to control the earbuds over BLE. The mobile app service accepts unauthenticated reads and writes of device-control commands, including settings and firmware-update data. Bluetooth range is sufficient; documented consequences include unauthorized code execution and an unusable device after altered firmware updates.
