Unauthenticated file disclosure via protectMediaLibrary authorization bypass
Published Jun 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Download Manager 3.2.89 and earlier allows remote attackers to download password-protected files. The protectMediaLibrary function fails to enforce the authorization decision associated with a password-protected attachment before returning its file. No account is required, and successful exploitation exposes protected download contents without altering site data or availability.
