Denial of service in Oracle MySQL Server 8.0.35 and earlier and 8.2.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to crash or hang the server. Oracle identifies the affected locus only as the Server Optimizer and does not disclose the optimizer operation or input that triggers the failure. Exploitation requires high MySQL privileges and network access through an affected protocol, and the reported consequence is limited to a hang or repeatable crash.
