CVE-2024-2097Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via crafted LINQ query

Published Mar 27, 2024 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

Code injection in Hitachi Energy MACH SCM Server 4.0 through 4.38.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. The List control accepts a specially formed LINQ query that executes code beyond the client's authorization; SCMArchivedEventViewerTool executes it on its host. Access to an authenticated List control client is required, and the SCM Tools path applies only where SCMArchivedEventViewerTool is installed.
