Resource-shutdown flaw in Oracle MySQL Server 8.0.35 and earlier and 8.2.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to hang or crash the server. Oracle identifies the Server: Optimizer component but has not disclosed the specific locus or the wrong resource-handling operation. Exploitation requires high-privileged database credentials and network access over the MySQL Protocol; impact is limited to a hang or repeatable crash.
