Improper access control in Oracle Java SE 17.0.9 allows remote attackers to modify critical data through sandboxed untrusted code. Oracle identifies the Security component but has not published the faulty operation or input path that permits the access-control failure. Exposure requires a client deployment that runs untrusted Java Web Start applications or applets and relies on the Java sandbox; trusted-code server deployments are not affected.
