CVE-2024-20931Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated data access via secondary JNDI lookup

Published Feb 17, 2024 · Updated Mar 28, 2025

JNDI injection in Oracle WebLogic Server 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.1.0.0 allows remote attackers to read critical server data via T3 or IIOP. A bound ForeignOpaqueReference can select AQjmsInitialContextFactory, whose initialization resolves an attacker-controlled DataSource through a secondary JNDI lookup. Unauthenticated network access to a T3 or IIOP listener is sufficient; Oracle's published impact is limited to confidentiality, despite public proof-of-concept claims of code execution.
