Privileged activity launch via missing authorization check
Published Jul 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Improper access control in OneUIHome on Samsung Android 12, 13, and 14 allows local attackers to launch privileged activities. OneUIHome omits a required authorization check before starting those activities, but Samsung has not disclosed the affected code path or input. Triggering the flaw requires user interaction on an affected device, and the resulting activity executes with privileges unavailable to the attacker.
