Local application-information disclosure via startListening access control
Published May 7, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Improper access control in Samsung Mobile Devices before the May 2024 SMR allows local users to read current-application information. CocktailBarService.startListening does not enforce proper access control before exposing information about the current application. The caller must already execute locally on an affected Galaxy device; published evidence identifies confidentiality exposure but no data modification or service interruption.
