Picture disclosure via physical-keyboard lock-screen menu access
Published Feb 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Improper access control in Samsung Gallery before 14.5.04.4 allows physically proximate attackers to view pictures from the lock screen. The locked-device Gallery interface accepts physical-keyboard input that opens a menu without enforcing the screen lock. Physical possession of an affected Galaxy phone or tablet and a connected hardware keyboard are required; the flaw exposes pictures but provides no reported write or service-interruption capability.
