CVE-2024-20807

Local information disclosure via implicit intent hijacking

Published Jan 4, 2024 · Updated Nov 14, 2024

Implicit intent hijacking in Samsung Email before 6.1.90.16 allows local users to obtain sensitive information through an Android intent. The application invokes an intent without binding it to a specific package or component, allowing a malicious app with a matching intent filter to intercept the sensitive data. A malicious app on the same device and user interaction are required; the documented consequence is read-only exposure, with no data modification or service interruption.
