Code execution via out-of-bounds file parsing
Published Apr 11, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Animate 23.0.4 and 24.0.1 and earlier allows attackers to execute code through a crafted file. The file parser reads beyond an allocated memory structure while processing attacker-controlled data; Adobe has not disclosed a narrower code locus. A victim must open the malicious file, and successful exploitation executes code with the current user's privileges on Windows or macOS.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
