Code execution via malicious-file heap overflow
Published Jul 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Heap-based buffer overflow in Adobe InDesign Desktop ID19.3 and ID18.5.2 and earlier allows attackers to execute arbitrary code. Adobe identifies malformed-file processing as the trigger but has not disclosed the parser, data structure, or unchecked heap write responsible for the overflow. Exploitation requires a victim to open a malicious file, and resulting code runs with the current user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
