CVE-2024-20771

Memory disclosure via out-of-bounds MOV parsing

Published Apr 11, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Bridge 13.0.6 and earlier and 14.0.2 and earlier allows attackers to disclose memory through a malicious MOV file. The MOV parser reads beyond a buffer boundary while processing crafted file data; Adobe has not disclosed the affected function or exact bounds-check failure. A victim must open the file, and the disclosed memory can expose sensitive data or assist an ASLR bypass without modifying data or interrupting the application.
