Code execution via unchecked AVI length copy
Published Mar 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Heap-based buffer overflow in Adobe Premiere Pro 24.1 and 23.6.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted AVI file. The AVI parser copies user-supplied data into a fixed-length heap buffer without first validating that the data length fits the destination. A victim must open the malicious file or visit a page that delivers it, after which attacker-controlled code runs in the current process and user context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
