Code execution via malformed Annotation object
Published Feb 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Annotation handling in Adobe Acrobat Reader allows remote attackers to execute code via a malicious PDF file. The Annotation object parser inadequately validates user-supplied data before writing it, permitting a write past the end of an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a victim to open the file, after which code runs in the context of the current user.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
