Code execution via JPEG 2000 out-of-bounds write
Published Feb 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Acrobat Reader 20.005.30539 and 23.008.20470 and earlier allows attackers to execute code. The JPEG 2000 parser writes beyond an allocated buffer while processing crafted image data embedded in a PDF; Adobe has not disclosed the affected function or field. A victim must open the malicious file, and successful execution runs in the current user's context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
