Stored script execution via unsanitized FAQ fields
Published Mar 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 22, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in SourceCodester FAQ Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in viewers' browsers. The add-faq.php endpoint stores raw question and answer POST values in tbl_faq without sanitizing them before the application renders the FAQ. Exploitation requires a victim to view the stored entry, allowing attacker-supplied script to act within that viewer's browser session.
