Arbitrary file read via exposed loopback Tailon
Published Mar 5, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Authentication bypass in Artica Tech Artica Proxy 4.50 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files through the proxy service. A WebSocket request to the exposed Tailon endpoint supplies the sed command and an attacker-selected read script, causing file contents to be returned. No credentials or user interaction are required; disclosure is confined to files readable by the root-run service.
