CVE-2024-2055Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated root filesystem access via exposed file manager

Published Mar 5, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Authentication bypass in Artica Tech Artica Proxy 4.40 and 4.50 allows remote attackers to access the root filesystem. Enabling Rich Filemanager starts a root-run PHP-FPM web interface on 0.0.0.0:5000 without authentication, exposing unrestricted file operations. The feature is disabled by default; once enabled and network-reachable, attackers can read or modify any file and create a root-level SSH account.
