CVE-2024-2051Network attack vector

Account takeover via unrestricted login attempts

Published Mar 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2024

Improper login-attempt restriction in Schneider Electric Easergy T200 firmware allows remote attackers to take over accounts by brute force. The login form accepts repeated credential guesses without an effective limit, enabling brute-force discovery of a valid account password. Network access to the web login form and a guessable credential are required; a successful attack grants the permissions of the compromised account.
