CVE-2024-20491

Admin credential disclosure via cleartext support logs

Published Oct 2, 2024 · Updated Oct 2, 2024

Information disclosure in Cisco Nexus Dashboard Insights 6.3 and earlier and 6.5 before 6.5.1.32 allows attackers to read admin credentials. The logging function records remote controller credentials in clear text within an internal log that is bundled into each generated tech support file. Exploitation requires access to that file, and the disclosed credentials grant administrative access to the remote controller.
