CVE-2024-20477Network attack vector

Authenticated file upload or deletion via missing authorization

Published Oct 2, 2024 · Updated Oct 2, 2024

Missing authorization in Cisco NDFC 12.0 through 12.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to upload or delete files through a REST API. A specific REST API endpoint accepts crafted file-operation requests from low-privileged accounts without enforcing the required authorization controls. Low-privileged authentication is required; exploitation can write files into one container or delete files from a specific folder, while the web interface is unaffected.
