Limited Administrator actions via insufficient REST authorization
Published Oct 2, 2024 · Updated Oct 2, 2024
Missing authorization in Cisco Nexus Dashboard REST APIs allows remote authenticated users to perform limited Administrator actions. Selected endpoints fail to enforce the caller's low-privilege role before serving administrative operations requested through crafted API calls. Low-privilege credentials are required; exposed actions include viewing parts of the web UI, creating configuration backups, and deleting tech-support files.
